Research Advisor

Dr. Trevor Buser is a licensed professional counselor, certified school counselor, and approved clinical supervisor. Over the past 15 years, Dr. Buser has served as a counselor educator and higher education administrator. He also brings professional experience as a counselor.

His scholarship focuses on mindfulness, addictions, and self-injury. He served as editor-in-chief of the Journal of Addictions and Offender Counseling and is a past president of the International Association of Addictions and Offender Counselors. He has published over 30 journal articles and book chapters, alongside 4 edited books. His latest book is entitled, Reimagining Research: Engaging Research, Data, and Program Evaluation in Social Justice Counseling.
