Zeke Floro, PhD

Research Faculty

Zeke Floro is a graduate of the Transformative Studies program at the California Institute of
Integral Studies (CIIS), where he specialized in Consciousness Studies within the School of
Consciousness and Transformation.

Dr. Floro holds master’s degrees in Philosophy and
Computer Science, as well as an interdisciplinary undergraduate degree in Film, Video, and
Computer Science. Drawing on his experience as an editor of the peer-reviewed Journal of
Conscious Evolution, he brings a sharp eye for scholarly rigor and a deep appreciation for
holistic inquiry to the Chung Huong Institute. His research explores the intersection of online
higher education, consciousness theory, and contemplative pedagogy.

Rooted in the traditions of Sōtō Zen Buddhism and Johrei energy healing, Dr. Floro seeks to foster genuine care in online learning environments, ensuring that the future of education remains deeply human-centered and
holistic.
